Skigebiet Hohentauern

The slopes will open on December 7, 2024, while the hotel will welcome guests starting December 10, 2024.

Welcome to the

ADVANCED SKI RACING CENTER HOHENTAUERN

From November 2024, a new training destination will open new options for every level of alpine ski racing in the heart of Austria. SOLAB GmbH, working in partnership with Ski Hohentauern - Sports Center Moscher, will oversee sales and coordination.

The existing 12-kilometer slopes offer partial DH, SG, GS, and SL training opportunities. The maximum difference in altitude is 550 meters. Running times in the speed disciplines are between 70 and 80 seconds. Technical disciplines, as well as speed disciplines, can be practiced in easy to difficult but also very difficult topographical sections.

You can train on artificial snow and watered artificial snow slopes (FIS level to WC level) in the DH, SG, GS, and SL disciplines. Natural snow slopes are also available for the U 16 to U 10 categories. If temperatures are low enough to allow snowmaking, training for GS and SL (also on watered slopes) will be offered starting in 14. December 2024.

Support of young talent

The slope fee is intended to support young talent! All teams (except national teams of all levels) are during the main season exempt from a slope fee for GS and SL training. For speed training (DH and SG), these teams are charged a greatly reduced slope fee. The training destination, Hohentauern, wants to signal that those young talents who need more financial support will receive it during training sessions in Hohentauern.

Slopes / Trainings lines

There are very attractive training lines available (no need to set up barriers). Racers have access to separated slopes for warm-up and technical skiing. The Moscher Ski Center also offers a ski school for children and beginners. Experienced recreational skiers have separate slopes at their disposal and training lines when they are not being used for racing.

Accomodation

Accommodation is offered as a full-board option. The training center itself has a capacity of approximately 60 beds and is located directly at the ski area's entrance. In addition, further accommodation (hotel rooms, apartments, and private accommodation) is available and is also arranged exclusively via SOLAB.

The Hohentauern training destination offers speed, GS, and SL training simultaneously. The slopes can accommodate up to 20 teams at the same time. Depending on the requirements, 2 to 4 slots per line and day can be offered, each lasting 2 hours per training session. The resort has prioritized ski racing to offer these versatile training options.
